How long should I wait before lightening my hair again?

For hair lightening processes, wait 1 ½–2 months after receiving the treatment. In such cases, it is important to do a strand test first and see if it is ready to be lightened or not.

How long should I wait to colour or tone my hair after the treatment?

Bear in mind that, right after the treatment, the cuticle is tightly sealed, making it impossible for the hair to absorb or hold colour. You should wait one week (the equivalent of 3 or 4 washes) after receiving the treatment before colouring or toning your hair.

What is the minimum age for receiving the HOP organic smoothing treatment?

This treatment is suitable for all clients, although we recommend a minimum age of around 16.

Will I need to cut my hair after receiving HOP’s organic smoothing treatment?

Trimming the ends is advisable for optimal results.

Will it lighten hair colour?

On natural or 100% grey/white hair, the colour is not affected at all. On coloured hair, the treatment may lift it by 1 to 1.5 levels. On partially lightened hair (highlights, balayage), the treatment may cause some lightening, but the violet pigments in the formula will offset it. It’s very important to follow the flat iron temperature guidelines on the chart in order to minimise the loss and/or potential over-oxidation of colour.

Will it make my roots look greasy or matted?

It doesn’t make hair greasy or matted. However, you may notice that your roots have less volume the first few days; this is completely normal and will disappear after a few washes.
